Hans Van Der Linden took some nice photos of last night's concerts of Wolf Eyes and Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė & Bert Cools, which you can view HERE!
Last night's gigs were great, though it truly was slightly too cold, i strongly doubt De Nor can stand the usual Belgian weather when it's not spring or summer. Nevertheless we might still set up some events now and then. Lots of folks have said "too bad it's the last time" last night, though that is not at all the case, De Nor is a permanent work and will be active when we feel like it for sure.
The upcoming weeks are going to be a form of race, or a marathon. We are trying to finish a book, we, meaning Nico Dockx and myself, with Jef Cuypers as a graphic designer and Stockmans as a printer. The book is the result of a year long interview Nico Docks did with me. He sent me a daily question which i answered daily with words and an image from my archive or a work. This book will be ready at the opening of my upcoming solo exhibition 'My Niece's Pierced Knees', at Middelheim Museum. This exhibition opens on October 27th in the early afternoon. Sven-Ake Johansson and Richard Youngs will perform at the opening, and DJ Daniel De Wereldvermaarde Botanicus and Nico Vegas will play records in between and after.
before all of that, Pinkie Bowtie (Vaast Colson, Peter Fengler and Dennis Tyfus) has been invitedto curate a festival within a festival by Felix Kubin, the curator of this years Papiripar Festival in Westwerk, Hamburg.
Pinkie Bowtie composed a score to be executed throughout the course of the 4 day festival which seems to suggest actions, performances, visual interventions, architectural improvisations etc. by the PB artists themselves and a collection of colleagues invited by Pinkie Bowtie h__self.
And on the 18th of October, the Sanguine exhibition Luc Tuymans currated is opening at the Prada Foundation in Milano.
