De primus van de klas zingt luidkeels "Too Many Puppies".

A nice start of the year that was, with some dear pals, great food, Chateau Migraine, a new lamp, candles, lots of soap and new records to drool over!
Blake Hargreaves, the new Canadian funny man, who plays church organs all over Europe these days, and also still plays in Cousins Of Reggae, was here as well. When going through a small stack of recently purchased records, we discovered the Blod LP 'Knutna Nävar', on the great Swedish label 'Forlag För Fri Musik'. We basicly instantly started laughing while listening to this amazing record, not because it's a comedy record in any way, it somehow just suited the mood of December 31st. Judging from it's sleeve, when i bought it a few months back i thought it was one of FFFM's noisier records, quite the oposite, this is a bedroom/DIY/psychedelic masterpiece played by one of the members of yet another grand Swedish band 'Enhet För Fri Musik', Gustaf Dicksson, who also seems to be involved with other bands and a recordstore in Gothenburg! 'Knutna Nävar' sort of sounds like a 70's children's music/communist recruting private press record and it seems to be a tribute to the communist prog band with the same name from the 1970's from his hometown.

Blod and that whole Swedish gang of inspiring music makers remind me a lot of the other Scandinavian freaks, such as the Avarus gang in Finland around 2003, and the ongoing Danish scene around Eget Værelse, Yooyoyoy and so on. Not musically or style-wise, they just all seem to have a beautiful local touch, a homemade brand, entirely their own.

The only NY resolution i have for 2019 is finding all the records and cassettes this guy has made!

Discovering this great record also got me to listen to the other greats from Gothenburg, such as Neutral, Enhet För Fri Musik, Leda, Arv & Miljö etc.
