Jan Van Den Dobbelsteen gave me a really nice present at the opening of the exhibition 'My Niece's Pierced Knees', as i left on a SXE holiday the next day, i left it unwrapped at home. He had given me the beautiful book 'Konijn' by JMA Biesheuvel. What a joy! The world of JMA Biesheuvel is a sweet and quite REAL world, his books are written in a childlike complexity, with some really sharp points on the edges. It is wonderful to hide with his 'Zee Verhalen' (sea stories) while outside it gets colder!

I have also enjoyed:

Mike cooper : white Shadows In The South Seas, 2xLP (Sacred Summits)

(It might sound not that polide, but i can really go without most of Cooper's folk or guitar records, though hello hotcakes, when he makes a more "experimental" album i'm all ears! His blend of tropical field recordings, off ambience, minimal mambo and collage is absolutely unique and mind blowing. I will always regret i missed his gig at AIR Antwerpen because i went to eat a 250 gr steak at ciro's instead)

Sean McCann : Simple Affections, LP (Recital)

(A while ago Sean had asked me to send him some vocal recordings, which ended up on this record now, collaged together with other requested recordings by Peter Friel, Jackson Graham, Mark Harwood, Graham Lambkin, Lia Mazzari, Sean McCann himself, Madelyn Merkey, Michael Pollard, Eric Schmid, Zach Schwartz, Tom James Scott, Patrick Shiroishi, Christina Stanley, Matthew Sullivan and Will Gottsegen. The result is a sweet blend of classical musings, Kye - like householdings, stomps and slaps, acompanied by a set of postcards and linernotes.)
