On Sunday i will be doing No Choice Tattoos at Ghent Zine Happening. You can make an appointment by contacting me.
I have recently enjoyed:
Floris Vanhoof : The Fluid Computer, LP (Kraak)
(A beautifully packed work of hyperneurotic love, this lp + book kicks off with some giggling i could recognise from miles away. All the audio is based on Floris' key 35 mm layered films, made in the past 10 or so years. Floris has developed some sort of visual and auditive language that swims in between the quite colourful work of Charlemagne Palestine, a garden of rocks and a plastic verion of the Smurfs! Throw all of those things in a blender and give a half serious half insnae lecture about it, and you got Floris Vanhoof!)
Wojciech Rusin : The Funnel, LP (Akashic Records)
(Fantastic blend of "hyper" classical, modern nose singing, electronic tweeking, field recordings and odd "folk"! This was originally commisioned for one of Vernon and Burns' radioplays.)
Various Artists : N.E.E.T. (Not in Education, Employment or Training), Cassette (Akashic Records)
(Another great weird release on this label from Glasgow! All earworms, played in strange ways, this should be on wax too!)
