Af Ursin's concert on Friday evening at De Nor was again very different than what i have seen him do in the past. This time Timo brought a Aquaphone, which he borrowed from the fantastic percussionist Michael Ranta. Looking at it, one could see playing it with a bow was hard work, though when one looked up, at the sky or the trees, or when you closed your eyes, it was hard to imagine the sound one heard was produced by just this instrument and a bow.
At times it reminded me a little of another great, half related band, Mirror.
As a few drips of rain fell around 7pm, last night's event was a little less attended than the other ones in the past weeks. Though still, a good amount of folks showed up.
