Kabouters zijn ook maar gewoon volwassen kinderen.
I was in Stoumont for a good 5 days, with friends and their children, Keelmeisje visited a few times as well, she's not really a friend, and can be quite annoying. She is extremely eager, which is good when she does interviews for PEDANT. But ow boy, she can be "a lot" when she's around you all week when you're on holidays.. PEDANT 3 is out now, and availble for FREE at De Nor, Café De Kat, Normo, Copyright, Fat Kat, Roscam, and pretty soon elsewhere too. If you would like to help spread that free mag or Nor flyers, please let us know!
I've seen a nice exhibition yesterday by Joris De Rycke, at Forbidden City in Antwerp. The exhibition was titled 'Pieces Of Wood With A Name', which was excatly what it was. The artist collected driftwood along the Schelde river during half a year, and brought them home in bicycle bags. You can order the piece with the most fitting characteristics to bear your name. The name will be etched on copper during the exposition, as a name tag by the piece of wood.
On Tuesday Werkplaats Walter, the space that percussionist Teun Verbruggen runs in Brussels, is currating a stage at Gent Jazz. Some greta folks are playing there, including Chris Corsnao, Samara Lubelski and Spencer Yeh.
And next weekend will be yet another busy weekend for De Nor! On Friday the fantastic story teller and banjo tripper Daniel Higgs will play, as well as the Dutch tape brutaliste Red Brut! On Saturday Radio Centraal's annual Quatorze Juillet is on, with DJ's Pierre Elitair and Daniel! And on sunday afternoon there will be a debate on the French Revolution at 3 pm. Most welcome!
