The city we live in (Antwerp) seems to, slowly, come to life again. The past year begged for interesting online initiatives, nightmares on video, "zooms", etc

Some interesting new things are happening:

Last weekend another open air group-exhibition with the funny title 'Miniheim' opened at Kielsevest 23. It's set up by the Forbidden City folks, who also are moving to a new location later this year at Londenstraat. The Miniheim show is on view 2 more weekends!

Zum Goldenen Schnautz is a fairly new space at Tina Schott and Jeroen Stevens' house, they host privatly visitable exhibitions and performances. The exhibitions happen in a corner of their garden, where Tina built a sort of shell, the type that usually holds religious statues on old buildings. For the first exhibition (which already ended) Sharon Van Overmeiren made a remarkable new sculpture. On the opposite of this corner Ria Pacquée performed. Today the second exhibition opened, by Sarah Preddy, while Jeroen Stevens is doing a live rendition of Erik Satie's 'Vexations'

On Saturday Lichtekooi Artsace opens it's doors at Florastraat 11, with a groupshow called 'Beste Kunstwereld..'with works by Marcel Broodthaers, Evelin Brosi & Elvis Bonier, Jacques Charlier, Vaast Colson, Zoé Couppé, Ian De Weerdt, Olivia Hernaïz, Christian Jankowski, Hannah Kalaora, Lee Lozano, Yemo Park, Jasper Rigole, Stijn ter Braak and Various Artists.

Luc Deleu & T.O.P. Office ' Future Plans 1970-2020 exhibition just opened at De Singel, here's a short documentary on that:

Vaast Colson did a lecture on his 'Exploring Nooks & Crannies, The Unvarnished Truth & then some", we're lucky he's not exploring grannies, which is what i first thought i read.

Ow and even Café De Kat is re-opening Saturday!
