Nice to see a Willem De Ridder release on Slowscan although i am not sure if it really works without context. De Ridder has done fantastic fluxus work, an incredible amount of radiowork, big "shows" or live happenings, tried to free porno, etc. The Slowscan release sadly lacks information on the pieces, no dates, no context. And yet, it's obviously a fun listen!

Also on Slowscan : Paolo Coteni's 'Nel Corso Del Tempo, A Tribute To Laura Grisi'
(A wonderful kling klang that goes from vague bells and metal klang to a throbbing mavhine that sounds like a 303 or something. Very Centraal sounding, more specifically, very Daniel De Botanicus in a way!)

I have seen two concerts two days ago: Ben Bertand and Christina Vantzou, seated, with a distance from the 25 other folks that were there, upstairs at Het Schaambos.
Both wonderful although i was ready for a break, though there was no break in between the gigs, they blended into eachother.

Frequenting Grey Records in Antwerp, there's always plenty of names, and bands being dropped. One of them is one of the owner's own bands The Oers, who i checked out and very much enjoyed. Some sort of contemporary scandinavian Discreet Music vibe going on there..
