Happy to inform you i will be working with Tim Van Laere Gallery from now on.

I have not forgotten to write something about Tone Pauwels, who passed away last week, This website just starts feeling like a graveyard. It's been a brutal year so far.

While studying at the Royal Academy of Antwerp in the 1960's, Tone Pauwels missed a decent artist bar, so they started one themself, De Muze, which became hugely popular, and still exsists. I have met Tone about 15 years ago at Café De Kat, where i was loudly thinking i was funny. He walked up to me with a grin on his face, and asked me if i would like a good beating. I agreed, so we went outside where he thought me some hilarious tricks to kill somebody with some very simple gestures. We immidiatly hit it off and always got on. A very sweet man, very funny, and especially very very strong, which is a weird thing to mention maybe, but it's how i will remember him. This man, deep in his seventees, sliding off the stairs at Witzli Poetsli while everyone is cheering loudly. I will miss our conversations, usually happening on both our daily strolls trhough town. I'm pretty sure he'de laugh his ass off about Gazet Van Antwerpen mentioning Tone Pauwels started a bar last year at age 79 (which was an exhibition he did at Idris Sevenants' place). RIP Tone! Much love to the Tone Zones, his many friends and his partner in crime, Idris!

Enough nice folks have passed away this year, can some assholes be taken out now as well PLEASE?
